The Computer Support Specialist contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers through providing IT support to internal customers. Acts as the first point of contact for the help desk.

• First point of contact for technical support for employees through the CR Meyer help desk.
• Escalates issues to other IT staff, as needed, to trouble shoot and provide solutions.
• Builds, installs, configures and troubleshoots hardware components such as computers/laptops, monitors, scanners, printers, projectors and other technological devices.
• Installs, updates and provides general support on software systems.
• Refers software application questions to appropriate channels to provide solutions to end users.
• Responds to employee questions in person, over the phone and via email.
• Trains users on use of technological media in CR Meyer meeting rooms.
• Install, modify and repair computer hardware and software.
• Clean-up and image user laptops and desktops when needed.
• Follow-up with users to ensure issues have been resolved.
• Observes CR Meyer safety guidelines at all times, including completing required training and wearing proper PPE (as appropriate).
• Due to business demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Completes all related paperwork in a timely manner.
• Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Associates Degree in Technical Support, Network Support, Information Technology or other related area.
• At least three years of experience in a computer support role, supporting end users.
• Working knowledge of computers, servers, hardware components, software maintenance, networked systems, etc.
• Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, insurable driving history and ability to operate a motor vehicle following all traffic laws and safe, courteous driving habits.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
